The UV Sentry is probably the simplest meter available for measuring the amount of UV that is transmitted through a transparent material, for example automotive glass or film. The meter measure has a huge linear range and measures to 0.1% transmission. The unit has been designed to be used by anyone. The digital display is continually updated with real-time readings The UV Sentry is powered by a 9 volt battery (included). The UV Sentry is able to calculate the actual UV Transmission percentage associated with a window film. The Transmission meter may be used to measure the UV characteristics of glass, film, coatings or other materials.
How to use:
Position the meter facing the UV source, such as sunlight or a heat lamp
Turn the meter on.
Place various materials between the meter and the UV source.
The resulting UV Transmission percentage will be displayed.
